Early Years Hub carried out a quality audit across our five nurseries. When preparing for the audit Rachel listened and took onboard our requests and specific areas we would like the audit to focus on. Rachel kept in contact with us throughout the process until the audits were complete and reports received. Our auditor Hilary came across as professional, experienced and knowledgeable throughout the process as she spent time within the nursery with our children, staff and our management team. Hilary provided detailed verbal feedback in each of our nurseries as well as a written report highlighting our strengths as well as areas for continued development which also considered Care Inspectorate requirements and current Scottish documents and guidelines for i.e. Curriculum for Excellence and How Good is our Early Learning and Childcare. Our nurseries and the company as a whole have benefitted from the quality audit and I would highly recommend using Early Years Hub for an inspection/quality visit.

Safeguarding training was tailor made for our setting and the staff’s needs. It was well organised, interactive and timed to suit our Inset day. The meetings held beforehand were useful in reassuring me that the training would be comprehensive and provide the correct level of information. Really enjoyed the 2 day paediatric first aid course ! I think the double act of Pete and Paul definitely make it !!! Even thinking ….its a shame i have to wait 3 years to do it all again!
I booked in house safeguarding training for all the staff. Booking the course was effortless on my part. The trainer was very knowledgeable, linking information to our everyday practice and went above and beyond to answer any questions that we had. The First aid training was delivered in a fun way, everyone felt at ease getting involved. We were provided with booklets to keep for reference. Will definitely use Health & Safety Solutions Early Years Hub for future training
Rachel carried out a ‘Designated Professional Safeguard Lead’ course with my seniors. She was professional and well organised giving us an in-depth knowledge of the role of the lead professional in safeguarding. Lots of group work and activities made a difficult subject interesting and this helped to give my senior team practical knowledge needed to support staff in this area.
Excellent and well-presented course which made the information easier to digest. Always delivered in excellent way and with professional knowledge. Great course and leader – no need to improve!
At Kids Allowed we have used Early Years Hub to deliver our safeguarding training and Designated Professional training for the past few years and have always found the courses quick paced, highly interactive and very informative. Inevitably the courses have contained upsetting content, due to the nature of safeguarding children, but this has been introduced and delivered sensitively to the needs of the team. The courses have been easy to organise and have always worked around the needs of the business.

We recently commissioned Early Years Hub to assist us with our quality assurance. Rachel has recently completed an audit at one of our settings in line with the Statutory Framework. Our staff were put at ease throughout the process and their knowledge and practice was examined thoroughly. We received specific targeted feedback which will enable us to continue to improve our provision.
We have attended several workshops delivered by the Early Years Hub, and they have all been highly informative and worthwhile events. Their sessions are always conducted in a professional manner with good speakers. The workshops are held in convenient, well- chosen locations that meet our needs. I am therefore glad to recommend them to my peers in the Early Years Industry.
The safeguarding course was very informative and the discussion sessions enabled all participants to reflect and discuss best practice. The case studies idea was particularly good at getting individuals to understand safeguarding outside of their normal roles
Rachel has been delivering our safeguarding training for a number of years now, and we are really pleased with how every course has been delivered. She is incredibly knowledgeable and entirely up to date with the latest research and issues, and combines this with being an approachable and really likeable person with a great presenting style. We have worked closely with the Early Years Hub for a number of years now. They provide excellent training for both new staff members and staff that have worked with us for a very long time! The training they provide is in depth, interesting and helps makes people better practitioners. Some of the courses they provide are paediatric first aid, food hygiene, supporting children’s development, effective use of assessing data and so much more. Staff return from courses full of inspiring ideas to help children’s development in the Early Years. The Early Years Hub are very easy to get in contact with via phone or email and respond quickly answering all your questions. They offer advice and support on which courses are appropriate for staff and provide all the details to ensure a smooth booking process. We are extremely pleased with the service and courses that the Early Years Hub provide and we have always been able to find the courses that we are looking for!
As both trainer and facilitator, the quality of Rachel’s work and her attention to detail is outstanding. Participant satisfaction in her sessions was unanimously favourable. I would recommend her and Health and Safety Solutions as extremely high – quality deliverers of safeguarding and first aid training and would have no hesitation choosing other staff development programmes from the selection they have available.
My colleague and I found the one day ‘How to achieve good and outstanding in an Ofsted inspection’ course very useful. It was great to have a Kath a previous HMI inspector leading from the front with first hand experience and stories to make it interesting and informative. Rachel is always easy to listen to and has a wealth of early years knowledge which I find invaluable.
Rachel came into our out of school club setting and carried out an ‘inspection audit.’ Rachel was detailed and through during her visit-she followed the inspection handbook and covered all aspects required. We were given a fully comprehensive report several days later, again following the Ofsted requirements. The report highlighted areas of strength and identified actions that needed to be addressed. The whole process was conducted professionally and fully prepared us for our imminent Ofsted inspection. For any setting due an inspection I would highly recommend the services provided by Rachel and her team.
Early Years Hub provided Apiary Capital with early years due diligence for our investment in Bertram Nursery Group (“Bertram”). Knowledge and experience of the early years curriculum and framework covering both England and Scotland were important elements of the due diligence exercise. The Early Years Hub team’s work focused on auditing the quality of Bertram’s early years provision, as well as assessing leadership and management practice within the business. I can recommend the Early Years Hub to others who are engaging in due diligence processes that support potential investment into the childcare sector.
The first aid course delivered by Pete and Paul was amazing, they made it fun and interactive. Their banter truly had us listening attentively throughout the two days. I didn’t expect to enjoy this first aid course as much as I did or also learn so much from it. Thank you I would definitely recommend The Early Years Hub.
