Shana has over 15 years of experience in the field of early education and social care. She brings skills and expertise from a variety of roles in teaching, consultancy, inspection and psychotherapy. Shana holds a number of professional awards such as Qualified Teacher Status and qualifications in Child and Couple Therapy.

Shana offers bespoke consultancy and training to a range of organisations; which include schools, nurseries, community groups and charities. She also has a number of years’ experience working for government inspectorates, to monitor the quality of early years education and care.

Shana’s passion is supporting children’s early attachments, through developing a whole-setting approach to trauma informed practice. Her training centres around the philosophy that emotional well-being of children, families and staff should always be at the heart of early years practice. Shana delivers ‘Emotion Coaching UK’ endorsed training and has experience in conflict resolution.  Shana is an experienced safeguarding lead and trainer, who delivers regular sessions for educators and has spoken nationally at events, particularly about FGM, radicalisation and youth culture.

Shana also works therapeutically with children one to one in schools and privately.

We are pleased to have Shana as part of our associate trainer team. Shana collaborates with the Early Years Hub to deliver training, and consultancy on a variety of early years topics and themes. She is part of our wider team of consultants who conduct inspection audits and improvement plans for early years settings.
