Kath has a BA (Hons) degree in Social Science, a Masters degree in Management, City & Guilds Teaching Certificate, NVQ assessor award, Btec Advanced Professional Certificate in Investigative Practice and NNEB. She retired as one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI) in April 2016 after 16 years with Ofsted. She is a qualified early years practitioner and college lecturer. Kath has over 40 years experience in early years and has extensive experience in leadership and management. Her responsibilities within Ofsted gave her experience both inspecting and quality assuring inspections within the private, voluntary and independent sector. She has also led on numerous children’s centre inspections and was part of the inspection team for local authority inspections. Before leaving Ofsted, Kath supported the regional director as part of the local authority annual conversations. She is an experienced trainer and presenter having delivered to large and smaller audiences.
