We are delighted to announce the keynote speaker for our September Hub will be Neil Leitch, Early Years Alliance CEO. Neil continues to fervently campaign on behalf of early years on issues such as funding, workforce and inequalities in the sector.  Neil will be sharing his thoughts on the ‘changing face of early years and what we can do to counteract destructive policy’He will also take time on the night to answer questions from attendees.  We also have Kathy Brodie from the incredibly popular Early Years TV joining us to consider ‘The future of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in the early years’.  Trainer, consultant and advocator of physical development champions’ Sharon Skade will talk about ‘Making the most of physical development in the EYFS from birth’, and Sarah Fillingham, Area Manager, Portico Nursery Group will share Portico’s ground breaking work in developing ‘approaches that support staff well-being’.

Our Hub will also have features including:

  • Updates on early years policy
  • Focus on safeguarding
  • Getting ready for the new Ofsted, Education Inspection Framework

Networking and marketing opportunities at The HubThe Hub is an annual event that brings together early years practitioners to hear about up-to-date news and information about all things early years. Our past speakers have included MP Tracy Brabin, Shadow Minister for Early Years, Shadow Childcare Minister Lucy Powell, Dr Rebecca Wagstaff, Deputy Director for the North West Public Health England plus our own trainers and consultants who bring news on current topical themes to the sector. There are great opportunities to network at the Hub and we always have a variety of exhibitors and suppliers on the night for those attending to take a look at, and or purchase from.
